The write path

One sale. Seven writes. One transaction.

Most pharmacy software bills first and reconciles later — which is why the stock report and the tax report never quite match. Ranbix commits the whole consequence of a sale at once, or commits none of it. Try breaking it.

FEFO First-Expiry-First-Out. When a strip is billed, Ranbix reaches for the batch that expires soonest — so slow-moving stock is sold before it becomes a write-off, and expiry alerts stay honest.

At the counter

This is what the counter hands over.

Every line carries the batch it came from and the date that batch expires. The tax is split per line and stored, not recalculated at filing time. And the stock behind those three lines has already moved — before the paper finished printing.

  • The batch is on the bill. Not looked up later from a register nobody kept.
  • FEFO picked it, not the person. The earliest-expiring stock leaves first, so slow movers sell before they become a write-off.
  • The ledger already knows. Revenue and cash post to the day-book in the same transaction, so month end is a read.
