Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what we collect through the Ranbix website and the Ranbix software, how it is used, and what you can ask us to do with it. It also covers Nucleus and BIXClinic where they form part of your arrangement.

2. Where your records are held

Your operational records — sales, stock, ledger, customer and prescription data — are held in the deployment agreed for your pharmacy, and are processed only to provide and support the Services. We do not sell them, and we do not share them for anyone else's purposes.

Where a hosted deployment is used, your data sits in a database dedicated to your organisation. It is never pooled with another customer's.

3. What we collect

Account and business information — the name, business name, email address, phone number and licence particulars you give us when enquiring, subscribing or requesting support.

Enquiry information — what you type into the demo-request form on this website. It reaches our sales mailbox and is used to answer you.

Technical logs — basic, non-identifying information about visits to this website, such as browser type and pages viewed.

Business and health data inside the software — held under your control as described above. We see it only when you actively send it to us, for example by attaching an export to a support request.

4. What we do with it

We use the information to provide, maintain and support the Services, to answer your enquiries, to send notices about the Services such as updates or billing, and to improve the product.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your business or patient records to market to anyone.

5. Patient and prescription information

Where the software holds prescription or patient records, it processes them solely to carry out the workflow you initiate — dispensing, refill follow-up, or an order arriving from BIXClinic. Access is restricted by role-based logins and scoped to the store the record belongs to; no store can read another store's records.

As the pharmacy, you are the controller of that information and remain responsible for handling it lawfully, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and any professional obligation of confidence that binds you.

6. AI-assisted features

Where an AI feature is used, it processes only the data needed to produce the output you asked for, and the result is presented for a qualified person to review. It is never used to make a dispensing decision on its own, and your records are not used to train a general-purpose model.

7. Security

We use encrypted transport (HTTPS) for the website and any hosted API, authenticated endpoints, role-based access and per-store isolation inside the product. Because a standard installation runs on your hardware, the physical and network security of that machine — and the strength and handling of the credentials issued to your staff — is yours.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting data we hold, we will tell affected customers without undue delay.

8. Retention

Business data is retained for as long as you keep it, because you hold it. Account and enquiry records are kept for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, then deleted.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You may withdraw consent to marketing at any time. For data inside your own installation, no request is necessary — the database is yours to export, correct or destroy.

10. Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use it. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_<id>) which record a pseudonymous identifier, the pages you view and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use it for traffic measurement only. We run no advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share this data.

You can refuse these cookies through your browser's settings, or by installing Google's opt-out add-on, and the site works exactly the same without them.

The Ranbix application itself carries no analytics. It uses browser local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences such as language.

11. Third parties

We keep third-party processors to a minimum. Where one is used — for example to deliver email from the demo form, or to host an optional cloud deployment — it is bound to process data only on our instructions. We do not transfer your business records to a third party for their own purposes.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of the page shows the current version, and material changes will be notified to customers.
